Hanging Out

After the Wedding Class got out a few of us went out with Greg to go shooting. We went over shooting for someone that is backlit and a few other techniques. While we were out there I wound up getting these shots.

Greg also gave a couple of us a chance to play with the new Lensbaby Composer. It is a fun lens but still hard to get something in focus once you finally look at it on your computer.

There where also some other photos from that day which I have decided not to post. Next time Chris wants Greg to give him a lesion on how to pose someone “romantically” he needs to have models that are not us.

Time of Your Life

Well, I went back to the Cypress College Theater Department and shot another show. The show was great, but the seating was arranged in a way I never come across before. With the seating set up as stadium seating, trying to keep the audience out of shots was not easy. While it made it a little difficult to shot I think I still got some good shots.

Super Tuesday

Vote early and vote often. I really believe in that statement. Without the citizens of this country voting, we leave ourselves open to a government that feels it does not have to answer to its people. With that said, this is one of the first elections that I was really proud to take part in. This election more people took time out of there busy lives to vote for the next President of the United States. Because of the popularity of this election, more people that would not have voted went out and became more active in our government. By voting for our next President they also voiced there opinions on other issues and bonds. This is truly an election to be proud of being a part of. The Presidential race also made history with Barack Obama becoming the President Elect and will be our next President in January. Even though I was a John McCain supporter, I congratulate Barack Obama on winning the long fought race. This was the toughest Presidential race for me since I began voting in the 2000 election. I really wasn’t sure which way I would vote until I was at the polling place standing in front of the voting machine. I hope that the changes that Barack Obama has talked about will come and be beneficial to all the people of this fine country. Democracy in action, whether you agree with all the choices that were made or not at least you had the chance to help choose.

Just a Tree

For about the passed year or so I have seen this tree lit up at night and have thought I should take a picture of it. Every time I saw the florescent lights on the tree it would really bring out the greens. So the other night I decided to finally took the picture. After looking at the tree I noticed something different but at the time I could not place what it was. Once I started correcting the color in the image that is when I noticed why I thought it looked different. The leaves had just started to change color for the fall. It was funny how I could see something so often and just pass by not taking the picture because I thought it would always be there. Well just another lesson learned about missed opportunities. I will be going back to this tree in the spring and get the actual picture that I remember that I wanted to capture.
